This is me posing in my some of my Senior Steward regalia. Behind me is a list of all of the Past Masters that have served at my lodge. As you can see the first Master of the Lodge served in 1736. This makes St John's Lodge #1 the oldest continuously existing lodge in the United States. |

This is a photo of the lodge room before we began the evenings meeting. The candles you see are not usually set up that way. This particular evening was dedicated to the memorial of each member that passed away in 2002 and each candle represents a brother who has "gone from labor to refreshment". The In the center of the lodge you will see an alter. In the middle of the photo you can see several chairs. The Master sits in the middle chair. Take notice of the beautiful painting on the ceiling of clouds and stars. |

This is our rec room. The lodges that meet at our temple united to restore this neglected attic area and give all the local brethren an alternative place to socialize. There are two pool tables, several card tables, a piano, and a 53" TV. We've got a little fridge and a radio. I'm ready to move in! If you're wondering why there are three girls playing pool in this photo I can give you a good answer...why not?! |

This is me and Chris Caron, the other Steward. Chris was raised to Master Mason on the same day as me. If you're wondering why there is a British flag hanging behind us it's because the lodge was founded 40 years before the US was a country. The other flag behind me is the colonial flag. |

This is the entrance way of the lodge. There are several reading and activity rooms. Most of the beautiful antiques were willed/donated. |

There are several regalia cases. This one is in the upstairs hall. We also have a portrait of Bro. George Washington. He made a visit to Portsmouth. |

The lodge has hundreds of Masonic books. We also take care to record and archive the minutes of every meeting. I'm looking forward to seeing what happened at the lodge meetings 200 years ago. |

We have a huge auditorium for events. But on normal meeting night the brothers all eat in a small room which is easy to clean up. |

We sometimes have 'socials' after the meetings. Here is Chris Caron and the Lodge Secretary Dr. Glen Gordon out and about in downtown 'freezing' Portsmouth, New Hampshire. (Take notice of the round blue emblem on my car. I put the square and compasses on my car the day I was raised. Now I have to be careful and drive courteously which is quite hard for an ex-New Yorker) |

This is the outside of St John's Lodge - Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The third floor is the new recreation room. We have a large screen TV, two pool tables, and lots of sitting areas. This is a great way for the brothers to bond outside of the lodge room. |

Here I am sitting by a Masonic monument in Houlton, Maine. Houlton is the last town on I95 before you enter into New Brunswick, Canada. |
